Row Arts Festival features 190 artists who workin a wide array of media, including ceramics,drawings, pastels, ;ber, glass, graphics/printmaking, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media 2D,mixed media 3D, oil/acrylic painting, photography,digital art, sculpture, watercolor and wood.

What: Thousands of car enthusiasts ;ock to the
grounds of the Glenview Mansion in Rockville to
check out over 550 antique and classic cars.

What: A parade, pony rides, a petting zoo,
pizza, a classic car show, a business fair
and a children’s festival are all part of this fall
festival in Potomac Village that began in 1982.
When: Oct. 20, 2018, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: The parade starts at the intersection
of Potomac Manors Drive and River Road.
The festival takes place at the Potomac
Promenade shopping center.
What: On the Saturday before Thanksgiving,rain or shine, downtown Silver Spring hosts theMontgomery County Thanksgiving Parade. Thelineup includes ;oats, bands, balloons, dancers,mounted police, politicians and Santa’s sleigh.
About 15,000 spectators line the route, and the
parade is usually televised live on NewsChannel
8 from 10 a.m. to noon, and then rebroadcast
several times on Thanksgiving Day.
When: Nov. 17, 2018, 10 a.m. to noon.
Where: The parade begins at the Silver Spring
Civic Building at Fenton Street and Ellsworth
Drive, and then heads south on Georgia
Avenue to Silver Spring Avenue.
What: Nearly 10,000 runners work up a holidayappetite by participating in Bethesda’s TurkeyChase. The event began in 1982, and is now thelargest 10K race in Montgomery County, with thenet proceeds bene;ting youth and families inMontgomery County through YMCA programs andlocal Rotary charities. There is also a 2-mile raceand a 50-meter kids’ run.
When: Nov. 22, 2018; 10K begins at 8: 30 a.m.
Where: The race starts at 9401 Old GeorgetownRoad in Bethesda.
